Role Title: Human Resources Associate
Location: Lagos State.
Role Responsibilities:
- You will be required to develop and execute a world-class on-boarding program for new hires.
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like scheduling time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Keeping informed with the latest HR trends and best practice in the industry.
- Responsible for developing and managing mentorship programs and overseeing mentoring cycle end-to-end.
- Planing and implementing succession planning process for high potential employees.
- You are to recommend strategies to motivate employees. Assisting with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Investigation and monitoring complaints brought forward by employees.
- Coordinating employee development plans and performance management.
- Performing orientations and update records of new staff.
- Managing the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
- Assisting with budget supervision, payroll and other adhoc HR projects.
- Responsible for maintaining digital copies of employees' records.
- Responsible for undertaking tasks around talent and performance management
- You will schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinating training sessions and seminars.
- Assisting with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Investigating complaints brought forward by employees.
- Coordinating employee development plans and performance management.
- Performing orientations and update records of new staff.
- Managing the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
- Producing and submitting reports on general HR activity.
- Conducting employee on-boarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline.
- Hold a master’s degree or Human Resources Management Certification (e.g SHRM-CP, PHRi)
- Three years of relevant experience in Human Resources Generalist or Specialist role
- Experience in Labor Law and employment equity regulations
- Sound understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HR Information systems
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience in payroll best practices
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
