Role Title: Treasury and Credit Risk Specialist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the month-end process and Financial Audits where necessary
  • Facilitating the financial payment process
  • Carrying out reconciliation of all bank accounts in order to ensure that all banking transactions are accurate and consistent with factual transactions as recorded in the book of accounts and variation are eliminated.
  • Sound knowledge of Trade finance tools: Bills for collection, Letters of Credit e.t.c
  • Accounts receivable management: Follow up on outstanding invoices, monitor overdue amounts
  • Evaluate and analyze customer records, credit history, credit data and financial statements in order to determine creditworthiness and the degree of risk involved in extending credit and recommending payment plans
  • Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements (if applicable)
  • Daily cash management (Preparing Cash position, Cash forecast, Investments)
  • Managing the debt facility for Arnergy
  • Interest rate risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Foreign exchange risk management and development of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies
  • Preparing periodical management reports on budget utilization and variances, reasons for variations and purpose preliminary recommendations for management review.
  • Liaising with senior management across the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills
  • A team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
  • An understanding and experience of treasury accounting including FX, liquidity, cash flow and various financial instruments
  • Six years of experience in Treasury
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong skills for analyzing financial statements and ratios
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial, debt and trade finance instruments

Role Title: Finance Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and managing the Finance team, including but not limited to accountants and financial assistants
  • Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Setting up and monitoring internal controls and processes to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Analyzing financial data
  • Being responsible for data integrity and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process to publish timely monthly and annual financial statements
  • Researching technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing for efficiencies and cost reduction across the business
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Managing the payment process
  • Additional controller duties as necessary
  • Co-ordinating the audit process
  • Being Pro-efficient in financial modelling
  • Reporting to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
  • Assisting the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller and managing a team
  • Eight years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Good financial modelling skills
  • Good communication, strong leadership qualities  
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • Audit Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
