IITA is actively recruiting for the position below.
Role Title: Project Accountant
Location: Ibadan, Oyo State.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure setting up of budgets, budgetary control and monitoring.
- Ensure account receivable setup, update, invoice generation, fund capturing and acknowledgement.
- Monitor the periodic preparation, analysis and coordination of Financial Reports to donors.
- Monitor setting up of projects accounts cost centers and files
- Responsible for the provision administrative support to Project Accounts Unit.
- Supervision of project receivables and donor funds to center accounts.
- Ensure strict and complete compliance with contractual requirements of donors, e.g. reporting due dates.
- Provision of excellent supervisory role to subordinates within Finance Directorate.
- Work accordingly with Project Development and Administrative Unit, Project Coordinators and Scientists in ensuring absolute compliance on project-related issues with IITA policies.
- Manage queries from Project Investigators and donors on regular basis.
- Carryout the preparation of monthly and yearly Management report on audit.
- Carryout monthly reconciliation of impress accounts to general ledger.
Required Qualifications:
- MSc/MBA in Accounting or any equivalent discipline.
- ACA/ACCA certification or qualification.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in a similar position.
- Excellent analytical mindset.
- Proficiency with computer application especially Oracle Apps.
