Role Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos State.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for achieving commercial targets by developing new business with existing and potential clients
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures and code of conduct
  • Creating and implementing a structured plan to achieve set targets
  • Creating a positive and respectful workplace and organization culture.
  • Analyzing current and past financial data, such as sales reports, and provide strategies to cut costs and increase revenue
  • Participating in sales campaigns to drive revenue and increase product growth
  • Undertaking cold calling. Schedule and attend client meetings as the need arises
  • Development, maintenance and application of a high-level knowledge of commercial products and services
  • Preparation of sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, budgets and contract documents for review by BDM prior to negotiation with clients
  • Keeping up with trends on VIVA’s best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions
  • Management and maintenance of portfolio of clientele base
  • Ethical practice when dealing with company’s assets and other people
  • Carryout consultative sales approach to ensure client’s needs are accurately met
  • Helping the business grow social media product sales
  • Development of in-depth knowledge about business development practices, commercial approval process, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends
  • Development and implementation of commercial strategies from time to time
  • Submitting weekly or monthly performance reports as required from time to time
  • Actively supervise market trends through personal contact with clients and industry associated meetings or seminars.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or any relevant field
  • Proven experience in B2B Sales environment
  • Three years proven experience in a Sales or Business Development
  • Proven consistent track record of success in achieving and succeeding sales targets
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Candidate must be confident negotiator with proven ability to close deals
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of commercial products and value proposition
  • Must be skilled in researching business opportunities and viable income streams.
