Role Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Adamawa State.
Role Responsibilities:
- Forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Allocation of work to subcontractors.
- Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Evaluation of completed work and arrangement of payments.
- Tracking the changes to the design or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Hiring and documentation of contractors and subcontractors
- Procurement or agreement of the services of contractors or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
- Acting as a liaison between clients and site managers and engineers
- Measurement and evaluation of the work done on site
- Payment for the service subcontractors
- Keeping of track record of construction materials and inventory
- Liaising with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
- Identify potential financial or construction risks
- Selecting and sourcing construction materials
- Preparation of payments for contractors and subcontractors
- Take responsibility for report writing.
- Assisting in the establishment of a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Preparation of payments for contractors and subcontractors
- Documenting progress, materials, and reports on every project
Required Qualifications:
- At least a B.Sc in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of seven years working on site in diverse Civil Engineering projects experience
- Possess Professional certification such as Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN)
- Competence in the use of MS Excel.
- Ability to learn fast how to use specialist software
- Excellent aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets and financial reports
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and interpersonal skills
