Role Responsibility:



•    Editorially lead TV and digital news content for Nigeria and other African countries.
•    Co-ordinate, plan and guide all coverage.
•    Leading and motivating a team of journalists to produce high quality content.
•    Encouraging original journalism and distinctive, innovative storytelling.
•    Develop a lively and engaged social media approach to news coverage working very closely with the Languages digital teams.
•    Be a key point of liaison with the best possible communication between the BBC and partners.
•    Ensure that editorial and legal guidelines of both broadcasters are met.
•    Seeking out opportunities for more efficient ways of working in a multi-platform multilingual environment.
•    Working with the rest of the management team to build an open, collaborative and creative culture.
 

Required Qualification:


•    Strong proven experience as a TV Senior Journalist.
•    Outstanding track record of delivering high impact, multi-platform News content for an African audience.
•    Ability to deliver editorial innovation and develop great digital and TV content while stimulating new thinking about news journalism.
•    Ability to lead, inspire and manage a great team of journalists whilst being able to demonstrate you can manage budgets and observing tight financial targets
•    Solid understanding of top Nigerian, African and international news and how to maximize their potential.

Role Responsibility:

 

  • Implementation of the organization policies in aspects of housing and property management.
  • Assisting with the delivery of repairs and estate management policies and carry out estate management inspections on all of the properties in conjunction with the Facility Manager.
  • Supporting daily operations within the FM function while proactively ensuring building maintenance is undertaken in a timely and safe manner and providing administrative support to the Facilities Manager.
  • Participating in out of hours emergency maintenance service.
  • Providing of technical advice to other team members and other staff or to tenants
  • Identifying any problematic facilities and determining what installation or repair services needed.
  • Identifying any hazards and assessing risk on designated housing unit.
  • Communicating safety and health requirements needed.
  • Providing the Facility Manager with reports on contractors' performance, cost and service and monitor quality and value for money
  • Complying with the organization's Health and Safety Policy, reporting any matters of concern to the Facility Manager and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation as this relates to the Association's properties.
  • Engage in pre and post inspections of reactive repairs jobs within agreed timescales.
  • Engage in other duties, within the scope of the job, and meet the needs and requirements of the business.

  • Undertaking the inspection of properties during and after the defect’s liability period in conjunction with the Development Section

  • At least Three years experience in related role in a reputable organization
