Role Title: Head of Information Technology

Location: Maitama, Abuja.

Role Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.
• Implements network security for the Company
• Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company' infrastructure and directs supporting staff.
• Oversees the administration of the company' WAN.
• Working with team members to design innovative software programs that improve and simplify the online user experience for customers across our various subsidiaries.
• Writing original code and update existing code, ensuring that all code meets program requirements.
• Performing intensive testing of all new and existing programs to ensure they are free of errors and function as intended
• Work with other departments in the company to facilitate timely execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating with the business users/business analyst/developers as required
• Ensure increased customer satisfaction, code reliability and developer productivity across software products while reducing development and maintenance cost
• Engage with business heads to assist the various departments with achieving their goals through innovative application of technology.
• Optimize new and existing programs for mobile use.
• Keeping up to date on the newest technological innovations in the field and be ready to apply relevant innovations to our software systems.
• Developing software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
• Documenting and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming.

 

Required Qualifications:

·         Hold a master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or in the Physical Sciences.

·         Relevant experience in software and hardware maintenance.

·         A minimum of ten years relevant experience in software development, Networking, IT infrastructure and Security with proven success in the Fintech or Banking sector.

·         Excellent knowledge of Software Development, IT Governance, networking, IT infrastructure and Security.

·         Great knowledge of technology trends

·         Analytical Ability, Strategic thinking & Problem-solving skills.

·         Effective execution of the company' IT strategy.

·         Proficiency in writing codes in Java and Angular.
