Role Title:  Senior Manager, Network Systems

Location: Lagos State

 

Role Responsibility:

 

  • Responsible for project-manage systems deployment, optimization, and integration.
  • Preparation of management and technical reports and customer charters.
  • Expected to lead planning, design and implementation of NOC systems and tools roadmap.
  • Expected to foster insights-driven operations through ongoing recording, analyses, and distribution of statistical information based on integrity, accuracy, and validity of data.
  • Assessment of customer requirements and to ascertain that they are met.
  • Management of Project Statement of Work (SoW) and deliverables.
  • Management of requirements gathering and transformation of business requirements into specifications document.
  • Establishment of policies, processes, and procedures in line with global best practice.
  • Ensuring systems availability and compliance with relevant ISO and SOX standards.
  • Monitor tracking and resolution of systems issues.
  • Management and documentation of the change control process.
  • Ensuring an up-to-date registry and documentation of tools is maintained.
  • Expected to identify, negotiate, and agree in-house quality procedures, standards, and/ or specifications.
  • Responsible for remote access to IHS sites and ensure the telemetry systems for managing the same evolve along with IHS requirements.  

 

Required Qualification:

 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or any suitable field.
  • Twelve years cognate working experience in NOC environment with demonstrable responsibilities spanning technical/ operations support, workforce management, performance optimization, and project management.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, protocols and global best practices preferably acquired in a role supporting NOC tools and systems
  • Sound knowledge of internet of things (IoT) and its application in a NOC environment.

Technical Audit Specialist Job opening at IHS Towers

Role Title:  Technical Audit Specialist

Location: Lagos State

 

Role Responsibility:

 

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of an efficient knowledge transfer mechanism for regional operations team.
  • Implementation of technical audit plans by carrying out inspection of all critical telecommunications infrastructure equipment.
  • Making recommendations based on audit findings to enhance and improve operations and performance.
  • Making sure that sites are operated and maintained to best industry standards.
  • Management of 2nd-level intervention of major and minor systems faults across assigned region.
  • Providing 2nd-level intervention for Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to perform at the highest level, especially in terms of delivery and meeting target deadlines.
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of an efficient knowledge transfer mechanism for regional operations team.
  • Production and distribution of weekly and monthly reports on all audited sites.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures to foster efficiency and power systems optimization.
  • Contributing towards development of short-to-medium-range plans for territorial uplift and network performance.
  • Contributing towards identifying training needs of FSEs.
  • Contributing towards continuous search for alternative sources of power which are cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Required Qualification:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
  • Hold professional certification in project management.
  • Seven years working experience in the telecommunications environment.
  • Experienced in design, implementation and maintenance/ management of power/ cooling systems, active operations & maintenance, and vendor management.
