Role Title: Project Engineer

Location: Adamawa State.

Role Responsibilities:

 

• Show readiness and proper scheduling of approved projects of the company and also providing timely reports on project status.
• Show proper resourcing of personnel and non-human requirements to meet the technical demands of a project
• Coordinate assigned projects and ensure corrective actions are taken when deviation from expectation is noticed.
• Advocate for compliance to best practices in the construction industry
• Manage clients to understand their project needs from its philosophy to technical specifications required for execution.
• Carry out relevant assessments required for all levels of projects.
• Reporting of on potential risks that projects will be vulnerable to
• Assessment of approaches used for executing projects to ensure effectiveness of process and efficiency of resources.
• Championing of compliance with professional ethics.
• Management of a team of technical and support staff on a need basis per project.
• Adopting the use of technology in the discharge of all tasks while ensuring real time access to updates fit for decision making by management.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• HND, B.Sc or BA in Civil Engineering or Building Science.
• Minimum of seven years working experience in diverse Civil Engineering projects
• Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Competence in AutoCAD, Revit. (Structural analysis skills is an added advantage)
• Competence in the use of MS Office
• Candidate must be NSE/COREN registered

Role Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos State.

Role Responsibilities:

 

• Payment for the service subcontractors
• Forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for the project
• Keeping of track record of construction materials and inventory
• Allocation of work to subcontractors.
• Liaising with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
• Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• Identify potential financial or construction risks
• Evaluation of completed work and arrangement of payments.
• Selecting and sourcing construction materials
• Tracking the changes to the design or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Preparation of payments for contractors and subcontractors
• Hiring and documentation of contractors and subcontractors
• Take responsibility for report writing.
• Procurement or agreement of the services of contractors or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
• Assisting in the establishment of a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
• Acting as a liaison between clients and site managers and engineers
• Preparation of payments for contractors and subcontractors
• Documenting progress, materials, and reports on every project
• Acting as a liaison between clients and site managers and engineers
• Measurement and evaluation of the work done on site

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• Hold a minimum of B.Sc in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of seven years working on site in diverse Civil Engineering projects experience
• Hold Professional qualifications such as Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN)
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel.
• Candidate must be a fast learner and willing to learn how to use specialist software
• Great aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets and financial reports
• Sound relationship-building, negotiation and interpersonal skills
