Role Title:  Construction Procurement Manager

Location: Lagos State

 

Role Responsibility:

 

• Implementation of the organization policies in aspects of housing and property management.
• Assisting with the delivery of repairs and estate management policies and carry out estate management inspections on all of the properties in conjunction with the Facility Manager.
• Supporting daily operations within the FM function while proactively ensuring building maintenance is undertaken in a timely and safe manner and providing administrative support to the Facilities Manager.
• Participating in out of hours emergency maintenance service.
• Providing of technical advice to other team members and other staff or to tenants
• Identifying any problematic facilities and determining what installation or repair services needed.
• Identifying any hazards and assessing risk on designated housing unit.
• Communicating safety and health requirements needed.
• Providing the Facility Manager with reports on contractors' performance, cost and service and monitor quality and value for money
• Complying with the organization's Health and Safety Policy, reporting any matters of concern to the Facility Manager and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation as this relates to the Association's properties.
• Engage in pre and post inspections of reactive repairs jobs within agreed timescales.
• Engage in other duties, within the scope of the job, and meet the needs and requirements of the business.
• Monitoring and coordination of the activities of subcontractors and artisans.
• Undertaking the inspection of properties during and after the defect’s liability period in conjunction with the Development Section
• Ensuring the proper maintenance of designated housing unit.

 

Required Qualification:

 

• A minimum of a B.Sc / HND in Estate Management or any other equivalent field.
• At least Three years experience in related role in a reputable organization
• Ability to demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Good sense of judgment
• Ability to show logical decision making and a hands-on approach.

Location: Lagos State

 

Role Responsibility:

 

• Drafting and submitting budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Management of costs in order to meet budget
• Provision of direction over contracts and subcontracts
• Management of construction schedule and activities
• Responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project.
• Working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress.
• Required to determine and define scope of work and deliverables
• Predicting resources needed to complete project
• Responsible for obtaining necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisite
• Required to coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
• Required to issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
• You are to make sure that work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
• Selection and management of subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Required to coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors

 

Required Qualification:

 

• Posses Project Management Professional Certification
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
• Proven knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
• Should be able to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• At least five years of experience in project management within construction
• You should be comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
• Competence in Microsoft Office and general computer software
