Role Title: Assistant Technical Officer, Nursing

Location: Ngala, Borno State.




Role Responsibilities:

  • You are to ensure that patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding, personal hygiene, movements and comfort.
  • You would be responsible for knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards and precautions.
  • For ER and OPD nurse, ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute and emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor when necessary.
  • Arrange and ensure that care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily rounds and other medical procedures.
  • Ensure admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients (that is assessment of the evolution of their state of health and the identification of any emergency or deterioration)
  • Fully participate in health education of the patient and their family members when necessary.
  • Manage and supervise administrative procedures and documents (that is fill in patient’s files, forms, consumption, statistics, registers, health files, etc.)

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • B.Sc. Nursing, Public Health or any other relevant course with.
  • Minimum of one-year verifiable working experience.
  • Previous experience working in clinical environment is desirable
  • Candidate must be a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent understanding of spoken and written Kanuri and English languages.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a humanitarian organization is highly desirable

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Carrying out relevant assessments required for all levels of projects.
  • Readiness and proper scheduling of approved projects of the company and providing timely reports on project status.
  • Managing a team of technical and support staff on a need basis per project.
  • Proper resourcing of personnel and non-human requirements to meet the technical demands of a project
  • Carryout report of on potential risks that projects will be vulnerable to
  • Coordination of assigned projects and ensure corrective actions are taken when deviation from expectation is noticed.
  • Assessing approaches used for executing projects to ensure effectiveness of process and efficiency of resources.
  • Advocating for compliance to best practices in the construction industry
  • You will be responsible for championing of compliance with professional ethics.
  • Management of clients to understand their project needs from its philosophy to technical specifications required for execution.
  • You would be required to adopt the use of technology in the discharge of all tasks while ensuring real time access to updates fit for decision making by management.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Hold HND, B.Sc or BA in Civil Engineering or Building Science.
  • At least seven years of experience in diverse Civil Engineering projects experience
  • Must be NSE/COREN registered
  • Sound knowledge of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit. (Structural analysis skills would an edge)
